The banks have to pay their probationary officers quite handsomely salary. The Basic pay of a State Bank of India for Probationary Officer is Rs. 23,700. In addition to this basic pay, the officers eligible for the facilities given are Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance CCA, Special allowance, etc. The total salary thus amounts is to Rs. 40,239 per month.

The salary of a Probationary Officer is almost the same in almost all the banks. You still might encounter a few changes from bank to bank.
