‘One Tree Hill’ Cast Bevin Prince Husband Killed by lightning

Bevin Prince of One Tree Hill fame’s husband William Friend passed away after allegedly being struck by lightning while boating with friends close to their Wilmington, North Carolina, home. He was 33.

According to the nearby NBC News affiliate, WECT, Friend was hit approximately 3.15 pm on Sunday, July 3 near Masonboro Island. During a normal patrol, the local police and sheriff’s departments’ marine units were hailed down and they responded.

While transporting Friend to the marina to meet with emergency medical services, deputies gave him CPR. In an ambulance, EMS tried to revive him for 20 minutes, but they were unable. After that, his body was brought to a hospital to be seen by his family, according to WECT.

Friend served as the chief executive of business-to-business marketplace Bisnow and, according to Bisnow, contributed to the company’s success in the commercial real estate sector on a global scale. 2010 saw him enter the business right out of college.

According to Gregg Mayer, chief operational and financial officer of Bisnow, “What made Will distinctive was his innate ability to inspire and drive people – to raise people higher than they imagined possible.” This is the culture he promoted at Bisnow, and it will eventually be his enduring legacy.

Actress Odette Annable, who plays Supergirl and Walker, sent a tribute to Friend and an update on Prince on Instagram on July 8th.

Prince’s bicycle firm Recess and the Special Operators Transition Foundation, two organizations dear to the pair, were mentioned in Annable’s article, which praised Friend as being “ideal” for Prince “in every way.”
