Elden Ring recently received a title update from FromSoftware, and the patch notes are likely to make you feel emotions whether you’ve been playing the game or even simply watching speedruns.
Elden Ring patch 1.03 includes a slew of changes, including nerfs, buffs, questline adjustments, new NPC summons, and more.
Elden Ring update
Because there are so many changes, it’s difficult to know where to begin, but it appears that certain quests that were commonly thought to be broken have been rectified.
Diallos, Nepheli Loux, Kenneth Haight, and Gatekeeper Gostoc have all received new “quest phases.” Many gamers have been perplexed by the mission touching Nepheli in particular.
Jar-Bairn is a new NPC, though it’s unclear where you’ll find them (I just checked, and they’re in Jarsburg, as you’d think).
The map now features a new icon type that may display NPC names, making it easier to note their whereabouts. There are also more summonable NPCs in “various circumstances,” as well as the Mimic’s Veil’s ability to imitate a variety of different things.
There have been some concerning adjustments. The damage of the Mimic Tear Ash, which is a go-to ash summon for people who don’t want to play fair with bosses, has been reduced, and its behaviour pattern has changed.
The damage of the Hoarfrost Stomp Ash of War, which was popular in Distortion2’s Elden Ring speedruns, has been reduced, while the cast duration has been raised.
Despite this, buffs continue to dominate the changelist. Sorcerers will like the lower FP consumption of a number of spells, including Loretta’s Greatbow and the Carian Greatsword, as well as the increased range and speed of the trusted Great Glintstone Shard.
Anyway, here’s the entire list of changes:
