Juraj Jakubisko, one of Slovakia’s greatest and best-known filmmakers and named the best movie director of the 20th century in his country, passed away at 84. Read the full article to know about Juraj Jakubisko Death Cause.

Official reports state he took his last breath shortly before midnight Friday, February 24, 2023 in Prague where he had lived since 1993 after Czechoslovakia split.

As his daughter Janette reported to public radio and television, it’s hard to accept such an accomplished individual has left this world.

On April 9, 2016, the Czech Culture Ministry announced his sudden death. A member of the Talent Drama Studio, Erika Merjava wrote,” His Millennium Bee is my favorite director; it felt as if he were speaking from his heart.

My old man from Liptov – also a bricklayer like Tis – and all my gang were also part of it. Pictures from magical Liptov nature show us pain and joy, heaviness and lightness, sadness and humor as well as humility and determination.”

She went on to describe “man’s indomitability; that all humanity despite our individual fates; humanity moves on”.

What was Juraj Jakubisko death cause?

On April 30, 1938 in Kojsov, Czechoslovakia, Juraj Jakubisko was born as Juraj Jakubisko and began his filmmaking journey by teaching still photography at a secondary school for applied arts in Bratislava before working for a television company in Kosice.

Later that same year he relocated to Prague and attended the Film & TV School of Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU), studying film direction under Vaclav Wasserman.

Later in 1965, Juraj Jakubisko completed his graduation and started working with Alfred Radok at Laterna Magika theatre in Prague. Throughout his entire career in filmmaking, he earned immense respect and affection from colleagues and colleagues alike.

His credits include Last Attack, Silver Wind, Silence, Rain, Waiting For Godot, Crucial Years, The Deserters and Nomads, Birds Orphans Fools Every day Has a Name The Red Cross Drummer Painted on Wood Build a House Plant Tree…and many more hits that followed throughout its release
