The Gonzaga Zags make it to the Final Four at March Madness. They could face the Duke Blue Devils and the Memphis Tigers. The team could still face Texas Tech, Alabama.

In almost 40 years of existence, Gonzaga hasn’t missed an NCAA Tournament. This is a remarkable feat. This is a testimony to Mark Few’s strength and depth as a coach.

Gonzaga is a great team with a strong roster. Only eight other teams have scored 100 or more points by the Zags this season. That is one of the best defensive records in the country.

They have plenty of options for offense. Corey Kispert leads the team in scoring with an average of 18. Two players score more than 16 per game, and that’s just one of them.

Jalen Sugs is the best player on this team. Suggs is a potential top-five NBA draft pick.

Texas Southern

Texas Southern was a 16-seed in the NCAA tournament. They are the SWAC regular season champions and the Southwestern Athletic Conference tournament champions.

To win the title, they defeated Alcorn State in finals. The Kansas Jayhawks will be their opponent in Round 1 of the NCAA Tournament.

Texas Southern won six of the final seven regular-season games. It also beat Florida by an incredible 69 to54.

With a 13-5 record, the Tigers also beat the Gators. But, it was a difficult battle at the conference tournament.

After a two-game skid in the Southland Conference, the Tigers have won nine in a row and 15 of 16. They are primarily offensive from the inside of the arc.

In the second half, Texas Southern turned things around with an 8-0 run. Joirdan Nicholas ended the game with 23 points and 13 rebounds.

Jordan Gilliam added a pair of 3-pointers. Together, they were 6-for-14 in threes.

The Tigers are playing in the main bracket, and will have an opportunity to make it into the First Four.

Johnny Jones, who was an LSU coach before becoming their coach. He also has some experience playing in the game.

Texas Southern is one of the most prestigious teams in offensive rebounding. The team averages just over 72 possessions per match and has a strong offense. But they have had trouble spacing the floor.

Oklahoma State

In less than two months, the Oklahoma State men’s basketball squad will start the 2021-22 season. They will fly to Lawrence on February 21 to face the Kansas Wildcats.

On Feb. 21, they’ll travel to Indianapolis to play Liberty Flames in Round 1 of NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament.

Oklahoma State’s basketball hold has participated in 28 NCAA basketball tournaments. It won their first NCAA Tournament in seven years this year. It was also awarded the Midwest Region’s top-four seed.

But, Oklahoma State Cowboys’ NCAA tournament hopes could be over. As of now, the team is ineligible for postseason play in 2022. The team still has a chance of reaching the Sweet 16 despite the ban.

Oklahoma State currently ranks 305th in the nation. That’s ahead of teams like Syracuse, Seton Hall, and Drake. But it’s also a ways behind Utah State, Colorado State, and Arizona.

Oklahoma State will play in the Big 12 Conference in the 2021-22 season. In the following season, 11 NCAA Tournament players will challenge the Cowboys. Those games include Baylor, which Oklahoma State beat in the Big 12 tournament semifinals.

During the first half, the Cowboys stayed close with Oregon State, but the Pac-12 champions had an early lead. The Cowboys made a comeback in the second quarter.

Cunningham stepped up to score 14 points in the second half, and then hit a 3-pointer with just over two minutes to play to give the Cowboys a 62-56 lead.
