Born in India, he was the youngest son of the legendary Bollywood actor Raj Kapoor.

Biography
Known as the youngest son of the late actor Raj Kapoor, Rajeev Kapoor was born on 25th August 1962 in Bombay (Mumbai) India. He is a film director, producer, actor and member of the Famous Kapoor Family.
His family includes his elder brother Randhir Kapoor, uncles Shashi Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor, cousins Mandhir Siyal, Kunal Kapoor and Sanjana Kapoor, cousin Jennifer Kendall, nephews and nieces Vicky Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor.
He began his acting career in 1983 with the movie Ek Jaan Hai Hum. The film did well in the box office, but he failed to establish himself as a leading man.
He went on to act in a total of 13 movies in a span of 10 years.

Death from heart attack
Earlier today, Rajiv Kapoor, the youngest son of legendary actor-filmmaker Raj Kapoor, passed away at the age of 58. He was rushed to Inlaks Hospital in Chembur after he suffered a massive cardiac arrest.
The doctors at the hospital declared him dead immediately. He was cremated later, after a small family funeral.
Rajiv Kapoor had reportedly been in poor health for the past few months. He was supposed to be making a comeback with director Ashutosh Gowariker, but he was not keeping well. He was last seen in 1990’s Zimmedaar.
On Tuesday, his family announced the news on social media. Neetu Kapoor wrote, “RIP,” next to a picture of the deceased.
Besides her, Sanjay Dutt, Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Riddhima Kapoor Sahani and Karisma Kapoor attended the last rites.
During the funeral, Ranbir Kapoor and Chunky Pandey attended the ceremony as pallbearers. The chautha ceremony was not held because of safety reasons.
According to Randhir Kapoor, the doctors tried their best to save him, but they could not do so.
