Diljit Dosanjh starrer Soorma has succeeded to win hearts, and like almost every other sports movie, it has made significant revenue. The Sandeep Singh biopic, that has kept its slow yet stable speed at the cinema, has placed in a total of Rs 19.56 crore up to now. On Wednesday, it made Rs 1.77 crore.

Soorma, that also stars Taapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi in critical characters, has gotten reviews that are positive from the viewers and experts. Diljit Dosanjh has been praised for his outstanding entire performance in the movie. But, the launch of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishan Khatter starrer Dhadak might badly affect Soorma’s performance at the cinema.
Indian Express critic Shubhra Gupta in her professional review of Soorma said, “It’s just the type of real world story which can give itself to a goose-bump inducing movie because that’s what great sports persons are educated to do: straining every sinew, neglecting pain and tiredness, to get past the goal-post.
