Thunder 2022 Summer League: Vit Krejci

Vit Krejci, a 6-foot-8 guard has a lot of potential. His summer already saw him play in a few NBA games and he looks like a versatile player.

He’s a great facilitator, and can knock down triples. He hopes to continue his development and prove that he is capable of playing at the NBA level.

He will have the opportunity to play in some summer league games and find a spot on the team.

He won’t be a high leverage player on the team, but he could be a great complimentary piece for a team that needs a boost in the point guard department.

Gabe Brown

After missing out on the 2022 NBA draft, former Michigan State star Gabe Brown agreed to a partially guaranteed deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder and will participate in the team’s summer league.

A Ypsilanti native, Brown played four seasons with the Spartans and finished his senior season as an All-Big Ten selection.

As a two-way player, Brown has the potential to develop into a solid outside threat as he learns the NBA game.

His defensive versatility and promising offensive skill set also make him a good fit for a rebuilding Thunder squad.

Jaden Shackelford

Jaden Shackelford is a 6’3″ guard who went undrafted out of Alabama and played four games for the Thunder summer league team.

He signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the team and is expected to join the G League OKC Blue this season.

He has the potential to become a great shooter from the perimeter and could be an excellent fit in Oklahoma City’s offense, as long as he can continue to improve on his shot.

He’s also a great passer, as evidenced by his strong court vision and playmaking abilities in transition.

Robert Baker

Baker, a forward at 6’10 inches who was a part of the Kings G League team this year. Jerry Dianis Baker’s agent confirmed to Hoops Rumors Baker had committed to Thunder’s summer league team.

As a 17-year-old, Baker captained his state at the national championships, then the following summer he led Australia U19s to a series win in India. Then, a week before the Sheffield Shield games of 1999-2000, he was struck down with a nasty virus.

Abdul Gaddy

Abdul Gaddy is a former Washington Huskie who has now made the jump to the NBA. Abdul Gaddy, a former Washington Huskie, played in two seasons for the Oklahoma City Blue and is expected to be part of Orlando’s Summer League team.

He has a strong resume and he can be seen as a high-upside talent. If he can get some experience with the Magic, it will help him in the long run.

This video shows him throwing a pass to Gabe Brown across the court for a corner triple. He’ll be back with the Thunder in no time if he does that in summer league.

Kevin Kangu

From rookie draft pick Chet Hoolgren to contract two-way player Lindy Waters III, the Thunder’s 2022 Summer League roster has a lot of prospects. These guys have all played in international competition or Division-I college ball before joining the NBA.

For most players, summer league means getting a chance to play in a few games against some of the NBA’s top talent. Others see it as a way to improve on-court chemistry and get more reps, in hopes of being on the NBA’s roster.
