1. Canada, Quebec, (January 30 to February 15, 2015)
The French-Canadian city of the Quebec which hosts the third largest carnival celebration in the world, despite the cold of the winter months. It is originating back to the 18th century, this is a huge event for the Tenerifstas and it is centred on the capital in the north east of the island. All-night parades and the parties continue for up to a week and in eachyear,there is a theme – this year it is cartoons. The finale is the funeral and the burial of the sardine, a giant papier mâché fish.
